New Neighbors

We have some new neighbors who just moved in across the hall. I haven’t been able to catch them to introduce myself, but I haven’t been pushy. They have been very quiet and seem to keep to themselves.

I decided to ask the cards what sort or relationship we might have with them, if any. I’ve had many unpleasant experiences with neighbors lately, and I want to get an insight into what I can expect.

The question: What sort of relationship will I have with the new neighbors.

I think they mean to be left alone. My offer of friendship and ‘let me know if you need anything’ is not needed or required. Maybe they are a new couple, or maybe they just feel they are complete to themselves and require nothing, including friendship.

I first saw the Knight of Swords as an opportunity for exchange of thought and dynamic communication. But seeing the Lovers gives me the impression that they are a closed set. The Knight of Swords is facing away from the them and toward me, as though to ward off my offer of friendship.

Let sleeping dogs lie, as they say. I will let them initiate conversation if they like. Otherwise, I will just be a good neighbor as always. I think this is a situation of, don’t bother me and I won’t bother you.

Time will tell.
