Carnival of the Tarot - Tenth Edition

Date October 14, 2007

RWS 1910Welcome to the Tenth Edition of the Carnival of the Tarot.

When I started this project, I really didn’t know what sort of reaction to expect. The Cartomancy community is a vibrant and creative group of folks, as as a result can be quite unpredictable. But it has been lovely to see such a fine response in contributions and readership. Let’s hope that over the next ten weeks, our little Carnival will continue to grow and thrive.

All are welcome! If you have something to say about Cartomancy, and you have written it in your blog, please join us. There is room for so many more in our Cartomancy Carnival.

Fall weather is here, and many of us in the northern hemisphere have Halloween on our minds. It is definitely a favorite holiday of mine. In the Halloween spirit, Archertarot’s Weblog has a really cool urban-legend inspired spread to share called The Killer in the Backseat.

To help us understand the use of playing cards for divination, we have Playing Card Suit Interactions from The Art of Cartomancy.

Demonstrating the use of the fascinating and thorough Rainring Deck, Peter at Rainring Blog shares the completed version of Rainring Analyzes Tarot.

Here at Willow Tree you can read about the Fantod Pack, an Oracle deck using the artwork of Edward Gorey.

And here ends the Tenth Edition of the Carnival of the Tarot.

The next edition will again be hosted here on Willow Tree next week at the same time. If you are interested in participating, please send your entry - the permanent link to your chosen post - to carnival@willowtreetarot.com, and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to write. Details can be found on the FAQ.

Help take the Carnival of the Tarot ‘on the road’. If you are interested in hosting a future Carnival on your own blog, let me know what Sunday you would like to do so. If you have any questions about hosting the Carnival yourself, please ask. It is a good way to drive traffic to your site, and to share your work with other people.

    hi Willow,
You do a lot of hard work, and I really hope it pays off and you get from it what you desire. At the moment, you may not have quantity in your contributors, but think of the quality! (Ask your other regulars if they agree!)
P.S. thanks for the link - yours is already on mine
P.P.S. I’ll host the carnival one of these Sundays - just psyching myself up for it at present. Details follow.
